Lush 2016 Festive Products

A few weeks back, I attended a blogger event at Lush in Basingstoke, where they showed us all the new Christmas products. Settle in guys, there's a lot to go through.

If you want to see my video about the event, that goes through my the products I bought on the day / what freebies I was given, please check it out below.

Otherwise, onto the new stuff. If you're a fan of Lush, you'll know they are super vegan friendly and completely against animal testing.

There were so many products that I would literally be here all day writing about them. So I'm going go through the products that I liked the most. To see the full Christmas range from Lush, take a look at their website, HERE.

All the products listed below are Vegan

Firstly, they now make 1KG bottles of Snow Fairy shower gel!! I already have a stash so didn't buy any but that is pretty exciting. (They also do a 1KG of Rose Jam for you RJ fans out there!)

BATH BOMBS/BALLISTICS

Never Mind the Ballistics: This one is half covered with pink cocoa butter so that it melts slower than the other side. It smells amazing and is pretty cool looking.

The official info from Lush: "God save the clean! This bath bomb contains Lime and Sweet Orange to shake up your mood. Luxurious fair trade cocoa butter melts in the bath to add moisture to the skin and helps the bath bomb to roll in the water, creating a colourful, spinning spectacle. Fresh Bananas are blended in to the mix, these feed the skin with vitamins A, C and E. This innovative bath bomb is multi layered and sprayed with vivid pink cocoa butter bath melt that melts whilst the yellow size fizzes faster- this one was inspired by the Sex Pistols "Never Mind The Bollocks" album."

So White Bath Bomb: It's so cute, look it has an apple in it!!

The official info from Lush: "Although the So White bath bomb was inspired by poisoned apples, our version is far less Grimm (get it?). This years So White is apple green on the inside and as refreshing as snow! We use bergamot, neroli and rose to create the sweet scent of fresh green apples."

Father Christmas Bath Bomb:
It smells like snow fairy so obviously I had to have it! And it's adorable too.

The official info from Lush: "Sweet like Snow Fairy, but in a traditionally Christmassy colourway, watch as Father Christmas bath bomb transforms your bath from holly berry red, to ivy leaf green. This colour changing bath bomb shares the sweet smell of success (and sales!) with all of our Snow Fairy products."

Shoot for the Stars Bath Bomb:
This one smells like Honey I Wash the Kids, my absolute favourite soap that is sadly not vegan, so I no longer buy it. But this is gorgeous and I was super excited to discover one of these among the samples we were given, as I'd forgotten to pick one up.

The official info from Lush: Honey-scented sparkles of Brazilian orange and bergamot waltz with swirling, golden stars, creating a world of cobalt colour. As the calming blanket of shimmering, midnight blue unfolds, Brazilian orange and bergamot oils combine to send your mood rocketing up to the stars.

BUBBLE BARS

Santasaurus Reusable Bubble Bar: It's shaped like a dinosaur and it's adorable! My 2 yr old nephew would LOVE this! It's meant to smell like Honey I washed the Kids, but I didn't get that from it, as much as from the Shoot for the Stars Bath Bomb.

The official info from Lush: Sharing it's scent with the ever so loved Honey I Washed The Kids soap, this bubble bar is packed full of Brazilian Orange oil and Bergamot oil making it uplifting and comforting. Also, with no Honey in sight it's friendly for our vegan friends! Hold Santasaurus under the tap or swirl him around the cascading water for a roarsome bubble bath!

The Magic of Christmas Reusable Bubble Bar: This smells SUPER Christmassy to me and it's on a cinnamon stick. Love it. Loads of bubbles!

The official info from Lush: Stir up a whole lot of magic with this warming cinnamon stick! Sharing the fragrance of Cinders bath bomb from Christmas past, it's packed with more punchy cinnamon leaf than you could shake a stick at! Sweet almond oil moisturises the skin, whilst stimulating clove boosts circulation to warm you right up again.

Peeping Santa Bubble Bar: This smells super sweet and faintly spicy and has (non dairy) chocolate drops for eyes! We were gifted one of these too.

The official info from Lush: With fair trade organic cocoa and shea butter no nourish the skin, this sweet little Santa is best crumbled straight under a running tap. Containing fragrant bergamot and geranium oils, which add a hit of citrus to this sweet strawberry scented bubble bar.

The Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar: So cute, so so so cute!

The official info from Lush: "When it's really chilly, Antarctic birds of a feather stick together in big, cuddly huddles. When there's no one around the hug, a bath with this will ensure you feel toasty. This endearing little penguin might be flightless, but, when you give him a crumble under the tap, blankets of flipperin' awesome foam soar out and transform your bath into a frothy landscape of blue and white crests. What's more, you won't receive a cold reception; Sicilian lemon and mandarin oils combine with sweet bergamot to give your mood a cheery citrus boost. If someone asks to "borrow" yours, tell 'em to go fish."

Snowie Bubble Bar: I wasn't a fan of the scent of this so I didn't buy it but dammit it's adorable and as a Bowie lover, I thought it was awesome.

The official info from Lush: "This hazy cosmic jive of bright, tangy grapefruit and neroli will take you far away from it all. Don't blow it; simply crumble under running water. In a flash, glam sparkle and oodles of bubbles will burst out to make you feel like one of the world's biggest stars. The exquisite fragrance of rose oil provides delicate, floral sophistication, freezing the troubles of the outside world. Let your body boogie."

FUN:
Not a product I was familiar with but they're like putty! You can use them as soap, bubble bars or shampoos or just sit and make models with them. The xmas flavours are all pretty great so here's a summary of all of them! I didn't get a pic of all of them but wish I had one of Elf on the Shelf - it has feet!!

Reindeer & Robin FUN - Vegan
Can't decide? Then make them both! This one smells just like fizzy cola sweets, with persian lime, aniseed and black pepper. It'll warm up even the coldest of hearts. Bah Humbug? No thank you!

Snow Fairy FUN - Vegan
Colourful and candy floss scented, this bar of fun has been a long time coming, right? Skin softening and sugary sweet, we can all be snow fairies with this bar of beautiful Fun!

Elf On The Shelf FUN
This cheeky chappy is here to add a little mischievous fun to the holiday season, with cinnamon, grapefruit and ginger bar. Complete with little legs to ensure your elf can get up to no good!

Santa FUN: Make your own jolly Saint Nick with this magical, mouldable jasmine and ylang ylang bar.

BATH & BODY PRODUCTS:

Sugar Plum Fairy Lip Scrub: Quite possibly my favourite thing from the new products. This smells like the comforter bubble bar and there is a matching lip tint too. It smells SO good. YAY I can finally stop being sad about throwing away that ancient old bubblegum one I had. What? It was only 5 years out of date.

The official info from Lush: Sweet and juicy blackberries and orange make this mouthwatering lip scrub an instant best seller! This is what The Comforter would taste like! We make the lip scrub with Caster sugar and sweet orange oil, while the matching lip tint contains nourishing rose wax and kalahari melon for a subtle gloss and wicked colour. An enriching coconut oil base means that this one cares and colours your lips!

Dusting Powders: There's now a fairy dust one - guess what that smells of? Obviously I bought it. And Mr Sandman, which has a lot of lavender in but it is not overpowering at all. It's lovely.

The official info from Lush: "Lavender and chamomile powders bring the legend of the Sandman to new audiences, without blowing the beach in anyone's eyes. Sweet dreams are made with lavender oil and comforting, vanilla-like tonka absolute too, before a delicate shimmer of gold lustre finishes off the slumber party. Dust before bedtime."

Snow Fairy Body Conditioner: Yes ok I'm obsessed. I bought this too! If you're familar with Ro's Argan Body Conditioner, it's along those lines. You apply it in the shower and massage it in, then rinse off so you don't need a separate body lotion after your shower!

Santa's Postbox Soap: This one is citrusy but mostly it is just pretty cool to look at!!

The official info from Lush: "The colourful envelopes and presents inside every chunk of this soap were posted before yours, so there's no time to waste! When you're ready to seek out the nearest pillar box, simply follow your nose. Fresh satsumas are squeezed to give this an energising, citrusy scent. Orange flower absolute, bergamot and Sicilian mandarin oils evoke the inimitable excitement of peeling the satsuma at the bottom of your stocking."

Snowcastle: I forget the smell but look how beautiful it is!! (Apparently it smells like marzipan and if so, I'm struggling to remember why I didn't buy any!)

The official info from Lush: "Scale the marzipan heights of an enchanted castle, and let your worries wash away as creamy, cloudlike lathers cleanse and comfort. Delicate rose absolute and almond infusion will give your skin the royal treatment and leave you feeling regally clean."

Yog Log Roulade: This was a close contender for favourite product! I've not used a shower smoothie before but my goodness this thing smells INCREDIBLE!! Also, don't be confused by the name, it's definitely vegan!

The official info from Lush: "Comforting caramel caresses are just a lather away, whatever the weather. This satisfyingly squidgy smoothie of spicy clove bud oil, ylang ylang and softening cocoa butter will have you feeling warm and fuzzy all day long. Like a lovely soapy, swiss roll, just grab a handful of toffee-sweet smoothie and lavish all over."

Rose Jam Shower Gel: They now do a lkg bottle of this for all you serious Rose Jam fans! I bought the 500g bottle, because I have SO. MUCH. Shower gel in my cupboard to get through (including 2 bottles of snow fairy that are pretty out of date, but still smell ok so I'm using them up!)

The official info from Lush: "The petals used to make exquisite rose oil and rose absolute are picked by hand at dawn, in Senir, Turkey, when they are at their most fragrant and have the most beautiful scent. Sweet vanilla pod infusion, combined with cleansing Sicilian lemon oil and fresh goji berry juice, add a refreshing edge to this floral gel, inspired by sticky, delicious Turkish rose jam.
So lather up and smell the roses!"

Bubbly Shower Gel: Not a personal favourite for me but everyone seemed to love this. It smells of satsumas!

The official info from Lush: "A bucks fizz breakfast boost packed full of sweet orange oil and fresh grape juice to help your morning go off with a bang, or should that be pop?"

That is it for my faves. What has caught your eye? Will you buying anything from the festive Lush range?

A few bonus pics for ya of gifts sets etc...

  1. My kids loved the Fun soap/putty stuff. It was like playdough for the bath. I'd forgotten about it -- maybe some will find its way into their Christmas stockings this year.

  2. I'm so jealous! So many cute things. I'll have to start making my Christmas list. I think the little penguin was my favourite, or maybe the peeping/squashed santa.

  3. I love Lush! I just bought that pink and yellow cocoa butter bath bomb but haven't used it yet. I think my favorite bath bomb is the Intergalactic one! They smell soooo amazing. I should use more of their shower gel and other products!

  4. The cinnamon stick bar looks like my DREAM. Urgh I love Christmas so much I have zero chance of buying anyone else presents if I step in Lush before 25 December! I'll be out as usual in the days after to snap up all the reduced gift boxes like a total saddo though *rubs hands together*

  5. I love looking at all the fun stuff at Lush. They have some of the cutest looking stuff, though I rarely use half of it. I think I bought a bath bomb a year ago and still haven't used it yet.
