My Favourite Vegan Perfumes

Perfume! I love it and I have tonnes of it, mostly bought pre-vegan or pre-realising selling in China made a company not cruelty free!

Luckily there are options for us now, here are my current favourite vegan perfumes.

1. Eden Perfumes

Eden are based in Brighton/Hove and as well as a retail shop they do mail order. They specialise in cruelty free, vegan dupes of high end perfumes (including a couple of discontinued ones). The shipping is free and my last order arrived really quickly.

The perfume is strong, so you don't need much and it lasts all day long. Their perfumes are all £15 for 30ml; a fraction of the price of a high-end perfume.

2. Marks & Spencer

All M&S own brand cosmetics and beauty products have the leaping bunny certification and they have lots of vegan items, including all their perfumes! They have a pretty big range to choose from too. My faves are:

True Red, which I like for evenings

Inspire, which is a nice fresh scent for daytime

I also have Black Amber, which I don't love because it reminds me a lot of Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle, which I never really liked. But if you're a fan of that and want a CF/way cheaper option, this might work for you.

The only downside to these perfumes that I've found so far, is that they don't last all day. However, they do make small (10ml) sized bottles that are great for the handbag for touch-ups.

3. Lush

Lush make a few different perfumes, solid and sprays, my favourite one being Vanillary. I like the stick but mainly because it's a lot cheaper and it lasts for ages. Also, this perfume lasts all day; I can't vouch for the longevity of the spray perfumes yet though.

4. Illamasqua's Freak

This one is pricey but it's soooo lovely. I suck at describing scents but something in this this reminds me of jelly beans. Illamasqua describe it as "Freak is a concoction of dangerously exotic unconventional flowers that Illamasqua has unashamedly blended together to celebrate the night." So err yeah, that plus jelly beans!

Actual descriptions of notes in the perfume from Illamasqua's site, might be more useful:

TOP NOTES
Black Davana, Opium Flower and Belladonna bewitch the senses into uncontrollable lust and passion.
HEART NOTES
Poison Hemlock, Datura and Queen of the Night blossom, caress and kiss.
BASE NOTES
Aromas of Frankincense, Oud and Myrrh, addictively mesmerises and captures the senses.

Or maybe not!

What's your favourite vegan perfume?

  3. Lush's Karma will probably always be my go-to, but like you I'm loving Eden at the moment! I got 16 (dupe of Nina) and 23 (Lolita Lempicka), and they're both amazingly like the originals.
